Renault Master XDD HDU Ambulance by Blue Light Services
Built by Blue Light Services, this HDU Ambulance variant of the Renault Master XDD is a frontline ambulance engineered for rapid response and advanced on-scene care. It pairs clear patient flow with an organised clinical workspace, crash-tested stretcher mounts, robust electrics and wipe-clean, infection-control finishes for quick turnarounds. The Advance Blue dCi 150 drivetrain with 6-speed manual delivers dependable Euro 6 efficiency (CO₂ 203 g/km, 38.2 mpg combined), supporting daily operations across busy urban and regional routes.
Industry-leading equipment
The weightless 500 kg ramp uses a torsion bar for zero-lift deploy and stow, with a non-slip surface; rear doors remain usable. In-house ABS wall lining is a three-piece, near-seamless fit that’s impact-resistant and easy to wipe clean. The door-operated sidestep deploys automatically without a motor and supports 300 kg with STEMGRIP. Seating for 5 and wipe-down ambulance seats keep crews comfortable and interiors hygienic. A Whelen integrated blue-light & siren package maximises visibility, while an Intellitec-based electrical system boosts reliability.

ABS WALL LINING
BLS fits in-house, three-piece ABS wall liners that form large, near-seamless panels, removing dirt-trapping gaps and improving safety. ABS is impact-resistant, easy to mould, machine and finish, and recyclable – delivering a durable, hygienic interior with straightforward upkeep.
DOOR OPERATED SIDESTEP
The step automatically deploys and retracts as the side door opens and closes. It’s main feature and benefit derives from the fact that you can operate the step from inside or outside the vehicle without the need for electrical power (there is no motor) : ideal for use where passenger access is required on vehicles with a low platform.
• A 300 kg capacity, along with the STEMGRIP anti-slip system and absolute rigidity are important safety factors.
BLS RAMP SYSTEM
The BLS weightless ramp is specifically designed to facilitate easier access to vehicles by increasing the entry height. It features a torsion bar mechanism that eliminates any weight during both deployment and stowing, ensuring a seamless operation. For enhanced safety, the ramp is equipped with a non-slip grip tape surface.
