The Blue Light Services Multiplex PTS Vehicle is designed to allow the vehicle to be reconfigured on a daily basis to meet the changing needs of a NEPTS contract. The vehicle can change configuration from 6 seated, 2 wheelchairs & 4 seats or a stretcher & 4 seats in a matter of seconds due to the patented Multiplex sliding seat system.

The system works by using a bank of 3 seats on either side of the vehicle which are mounted on a rail system which allows the seats to be moved and deployed in multiple configurations without the need to remove and store any seats thus saving potential back injuries. This allows the fleet to be flexible around the needs of the contract and not the contract around the specification of the fleet.

Phase 2 of the Multiplex was unveiled at ESS 2019 with developments including weight reduction, increased functionality, cost savings and infection control prevention.
